The Prayer Department is a gathering of born again Christians who have received a special calling in the place of prayers, supplication and intercession.
The Prayer Department has a special attention with God because this is the body that serves as ‘The Watchers’ over the fold of God and support the pastorate in providing the required prayer cover for the Church.
It is important to note that the Prayer Department is not like other departments where workers are posted to.
This Department is a special calling and membership is open to church workers that are available, willing and with burden to intercede for others. However, the core leadership of the department are as appointed by the Pastor-in-Charge (PIC)
The Vision of the Prayer Department is based on two anchor scriptures: Ezekiel 22:30 “And I sought for a man among them that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it ……” And Matthew 18:19-20 “Again, I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in my name, I am there in the midst of them”
Based on this, the vision of the Prayer Department is to be the available vessel to stand in the Gap for God’s People and God’s Work and also to stand in agreement for the requests and concerns of God’s People
